Class A Motorhome and Motor Coach Manufacturers
Class A motorhomes are generally the largest of the motorized recreational vehicles. There is a wide variety of widths, lengths and heights, usually in a “boxlike” shape.
Most class A motorhome construction start with a bare truck or bus chassis equipped with little more than the engine and drive train. However some are conversions of factory built buses.
Class A motorhomes are generally more open than the other two classes and have more space, through there is some overlap in size between the smaller class A motorhomes and the larger super-C motorhomes. The size and shape of the class A allows the manufacturers to develop a variety of floor plans.
As with all motorhomes, the class A serves as both a home and a vehicle, with easy access to the living area from the driver’s and passenger’s seats
